Ist die Suchmaschine Startpage noch empfehlenswert?
Im Support-Bereich der Startpage-Webseite befindet sich ein bedenklicher Eintrag vom 17. Oktober 2019 und auch eine offizielle Presseerklärung:

Da aktuell von Startpage keine weiteren Informationen vorliegen, bin ich sehr skeptisch, was den neuen Shareholder angeht – auf mich wirkt das wie eine moderne Datenkrake. Es ist nicht klar, wie hoch der Anteil ist, den System1 LCC an Startpage erworben hat. Bei meiner Suche nach Privacy One Group Ltd bin ich auf keine Treffer gestoßen.
Aufgrund der dünnen Faktenlage würde ich aktuell auf eine searx-Instanz ausweichen.
